mydala.com empowers merchants with online store platform

mydala.com, India’s first and largest group buying/social commerce portal offering city-specific deep-discount deals, has announced the launch of yet another innovative concept – the “mydala Mall” – an online merchant store where users can view personalized deals by various merchants at one place. Instead of promoting just one deal at a time, each merchant can now promote several simultaneous deals on mydala Mall to ensure that they have something or the other on offer which will be relevant for every customer. The mall includes super deals on movies and audio CDs, gems and jewelry, home furnishings, premium cosmetics, flowers, perfumes, sunglasses and hotel & travel packages. The mydala Mall also includes irresistible offers on home appliances such as utensils, cutlery sets, containers, non-stick cookware, tiffins, cookers and idli makers, bathroom sets, bar accessories, coffee pots and vacuum flasks. Electronic gadgets on sale at the mydala Mall include cameras, mobile phones and tablets, cordless headphones, juicers and blenders, data cards and much more. The mall will also feature exciting deals on spa and salon, yummy pizzas, and many more city-specific services.

Commenting on this novel concept, Anisha Singh, Founder and CEO of mydala says, “In less than two years, mydala.com has built a strong equity among customers and merchants alike. People trust the mydala network to offer best value deals, while merchants are sure of making their brands visible to newer audiences who can experience their products and services for repeat orders in future. From the very beginning, we had conceived mydala.com to provide a win-win for buyers as well as sellers. With the launch of mydala Mall, buyers need not worry about missing deals from their favorite sellers, while merchants can explore more engaging, long-lasting relationships with their patrons instead of just one-off deals.”

In July-end, mydala also lived up to its recent promise of becoming one of the top-100 sites in India according to Alexa rankings (as on 29 July 2011), which also shows that the number of internet users visiting mydala.com has gone up by a whopping 373% in the last three months. Respected analyst firm, comScore, in its latest report found that total unique visitors on mydala.com have reached 952,000 in June 2011, up from 105,000 in May 2011. The research also revealed that mydala’s traffic share has gone up to 21.5% from 5.2% in the same period. mydala.com has been making rapid strides especially ever since it received a funding of Rs. 9 crores from renowned private equity financiers Info Edge (owners of Naukri.com, India’s largest job portal). mydala.com already had an angel investment of Rs. 1.1 crores by founders of the $600mm PE fund, CX Partners. mydala had recently announced that it has crossed 3 million subscribers.
