World Population and 2012–7bn

World Population to be 7bn by 2012

If you ever wondered what will happen in 2012, here is the answer for you. The world population is slated to hit 7 billion early in 2012 and it could go on crossing 9 billion in 2050.

The half of the population increase of the world is estimated to be in only 9 countries including India, United States of America, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Tanzania.

Hania Zlotnik, Director of the Population Division at the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, said: “There have been no big changes for the recent estimates and we have not changed the assumptions for the future. We’re still projecting that by 2050 the population of the world will be around 9.1 billion.”

If you ever wondered that world will be facing its end in 2012, here is something to amuse you. We are always increasing and there seems no stop or control over the increasing number of people on our planet earth.

Perhaps, we will be including the population of Moon also because somebody claimed that 2020 will mark the setup of humans on Moon. Wait for the ultimate.
