ExecuJet Launches CO2 Offset Program

Myclimate, a highly regarded, non-profit, environmental foundation, was created an affiliation with ExecuJet Aviation Group, the global business aviation and international jet charter organisation, to facilitate its charter customers worldwide the option to fly carbon neutral. Myclimate had primarily aligned with the charter company. Flying primarily Bombardier Business Jets will enable buyers of a myclimate ticket ExecuJet customers to offset emissions through investing in a climate protection project and play a dynamic part in conserving the environment. Myclimate will be determining each journey’s offset price by taking into account the emissions released per hour flown, and expenses of offsetting a ton of CO2 in a carbon offset project.

All projects promoting renewable energy and energy efficient technologies reduce emissions. For example, biomass-agricultural waste in India is used to generate energy. In another project, Indonesia is renovating hydropower station in order to boost output.Climate change mitigation is seen by ExecuJet as an innate part of corporate liability. Niall Olver, chief executive, who quoted the Intergovernment Panel on Climate Change and the European Business Aircraft Association, said, “We are sensitive to the wishes of our private charter customers wish to contribute toward climate change and believe myclimate provides a positive carbon neutral flying solution”.

Kathrin Dellantonio, spokesperson from myclimate, says, “We are glad to cooperate with ExecuJet as we think it is important that everybody contributes to climate protection wherever it is possible. Together with ExecuJet we have implemented a very pragmatic system for their customers to offset emissions. We guarantee that the money is invested into high quality carbon offset projects that lead to a measurable and sustainable reduction of emissions”.
