Lufthansa flights to two new destinations in China

Lufthansa route network is being boomed from three to five destinations in China in the year of the Olympic summer games in Peking. Beginning summer 2008 it will then contact European airline’s first flights to route new comers Nanjing from Frankfurt and Shenyang from Munich alongside its active services to Peking, Shanghai and Guangzhou (Canton).

A total of 58 flights weekly will be operated together with it from its Frankfurt and Munich hubs to the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong by Germany’s largest carrier. Karl Ulrich Garnadt, Executive Vice President Services and Human Resources Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, said: “With Nanjing and Shenyang in the timetable, Lufthansa will be offering customers convenient and fast services to two further major Chinese cities”.

Five non-stop flights weekly from 31 March 2008 are being contacted on the new route ex Frankfurt to Nanjing. About 270 kilometres west of Shanghai, lies the City at the Yangtze River Delta and has a vital inland port.

Booking of flights to the new destination will commence from 13 December 2007. An inaugural fare offer from 699 euros will be available from 19 December. This fare is limited to Economy Class, including taxes, fees and the Lufthansa Ticket Service Charge of 15 euros when booking is made online at Lufthansa.com. Mile credits on the flights can be earned by Miles & More members.
