UK Trade Park Goes Green

Green is the latest exhortation that is being adopted by organizations doing their bit in conserving the natural resources of our planet. Horncastle Group based in UK is suggesting a “green travel plan” which would be the first such inventiveness in UK’s Yorkshire business area.

The “green travel plan” is aimed to be executed at Merchant’s Quay site in Brighton Street, West Hull by the company. The merchant’s Quay site will comprise an integrated setup having office accommodation apart from a centre that holds all associated trades such as builders’ merchants, plumbing and electrical stockists and kitchen and bathroom providers. A range of facilities for the employees to travel to work comfortably are suggested in the plan and at the same time ensures preservation of the earth’s natural resources. Travelling in groups, use of public transport or cycles would be promoted by them and would have the expediency of using shower areas setup near their office before work is begun by them.

“Green travel plans, have been put forward by the Highways Agency to help ensure new developments do not create congestion. After long and detailed discussions with the agency we have now agreed the area’s first green travel plan”, said in a press release, Ian Hodges, Horncastle Director.

Permission is being awaited by the company and is planning to start construction by February the following year and would be having the first units ready by September 2008.

A leading caterer of business space and urban renewal schemes, Horncastle Group is based in Yorkshire. Emphasis is being given on rendering quality and environmentally friendly projects involving “green” buildings that are designed and constructed for the future and not just today.
